The moment you step inside, the cozy, familial atmosphere feels inviting and warm, reminiscent of a beloved neighborhood eatery. It’s a place where generations come together to enjoy comforting and flavorful dishes prepared with care. While the interior might feel a bit snug, this only adds to the intimate, community-driven vibe that loyal guests cherish.

R House 華洋’s menu is a treasure trove for adventurous gourmands and traditionalists alike. A standout is the sumptuous Oxtail Soup, a deeply savory broth that soothes and satisfies with every spoonful, rich with tender, melt-in-your-mouth oxtail. Equally tempting is the Crabmeat w Fish Maw & Corn Soup, a delicate, silky concoction boasting layers of texture and subtle sweetness.

For those who enjoy the classic crowd-pleasers, the Orange Chicken is perfectly balanced, delivering a crispy coating with a tangy, sweet glaze that excites the palate without overwhelming it. The Shrimp Fried Rice stands out as a generous and flavorful portion, with plump shrimp scattered generously throughout, satisfying cravings for comfort food that bursts with umami.

Noodle lovers will revel in the diverse selection, from the house specialty crispy rice noodle 本楼煎河粉 to the richly savory Beef Fried Noodle, and the authentic Hongkongstyle Chow Ho Fun Noodle, each dish expertly crafted to celebrate the texture and flavors of traditional stir-fried noodles. The Shezuan Tsao Chicken and Fried Dumplings deliver a punch of spicy, aromatic zest that complements the milder dishes perfectly, offering a well-rounded dining experience.

Congee options such as the Minced Beef Congee 免治牛肉粥 and Pork With Preserved Egg Congee 皮蛋瘦肉粥 evoke a warm, comforting essence that speaks directly to the soul. These silky rice porridges illustrate the restaurant’s dedication to authentic preparation and mindful seasoning.

Diners rave about the unmistakably fresh flavors and the generous portions that reflect home-cooked authenticity. Outstanding Cantonese food! My husband is from Canton and this is definitely one of the most delicious and authentic Cantonese food we’ve had. Despite its humble look, the food here pleasantly surprised us with the high quality. We had both lunch and dinner here in the same day. Highly recommend it!

10 stars for this Cantonese family restaurant. I just want to say, every plate was bursting with flavor. My favorite was the fried squid, mouth watering, full of flavor with every bite. I also want to point out. Patrons here were very friendly, a few asked if it was our first time. Apparently, a lot of older Asian couples and families fine here. Keep in mind, this is a family restaurant so be prepared to wait for your delicious food.

Quite an underrated establishment with amazing and authentic Chinese cuisine. The braise pork dish is such a wonder, definitely a must-try. Overall the taste is there, flavorful yet simplistic, nothing too fancy but rather well-balanced. Service is wonderful. Staff is so sweet and friendly. Atmosphere may be a bit stuffed, but it makes up with a feeling of coziness, like a true family restaurant. Highly recommended and definitely coming back for more!

We arrived at about 11pm to order some shrimp fried rice to take home. It was reasonably priced and the portions were generous. It was very tasty and there was shrimp throughout. I could smell mildew when I walked in and I wasn't told how long my wait would be. I would recommend the shrimp fried rice at this restaurant.
